When you save a hole during a round, you see a short summary of how your group is doing in each game before the next hole's score entry appears. It covers only the players in your group — the full field is one tap away.
What appears when I tap Next?
A screen headed Hole N saved, with one card for each game your round is running — skins, a match, stableford, stroke play, and so on. Each card shows where the people you're playing with stand, and a Hole N+1 button carries you on to the next hole.
The button sits in the same place as the Next button you just pressed, so you can tap straight through without moving your thumb. Back returns you to the hole you just entered if you need to change a score; your scores are still there and still editable, and saving again updates the summary.
On the last hole you go straight to the round-complete screen instead, which shows the same game cards above the attestation step. You never get two summaries in a row.
Why does it only show my group?
Because that's the question worth answering while you're standing on the next tee: how are we doing. Every card is labelled with what it covers — usually Your group — so the numbers are never mistaken for the whole field.
Each card also has a Full standings · whole field link. Tap it and you land on the Standings tab with that game already selected, showing everyone playing.
Matches are the one exception. A match needs both sides to make any sense, so if you're playing someone from another group, they're shown in full rather than hidden. Those cards say so: Your group's matches · opponents shown in full.
Why does a game say the hole is "still out on the course"?
Because a hole in a field-wide game can't be decided until everyone has played it.
Skins is the clearest example. A skin goes to whoever beats the entire field on that hole — so if a group behind you hasn't reached it yet, there's no winner to name, and there might not be one until they do. Rather than show you a blank space, the card says the hole is still out.
For the same reason, running totals may show Settled thru hole 4 while you're walking off the 7th. That's not a delay in the app; it's how far the whole field has actually got. Once the last group posts a hole, it scores and the numbers catch up.
Stroke play is the exception: it's just your score against par, so it needs nobody else and always shows the hole you've just finished.
If someone in another group wins a skin, they're named, marked as being from another group, so you can tell at a glance that the winner isn't someone you're playing with.
Why do the numbers sometimes change afterwards?
Everything on this screen is provisional while the round is in play. Scores haven't been attested yet, so if someone's card is corrected or refuted afterwards, the standings change with it. Treat it as the running state of the round, not a settled result.
What if my round has no games?
Then nothing changes: saving a hole takes you straight to the next one, exactly as before. The summary only appears when there's a game to report on.
